| Thanks Steve of CC's Stump & Tree Removal | |||||||
Mrs Val from Frankston wrote and
asked if we could stump grind her hibiscus stump. We contacted Steve of CC's
Stump & Tree Removal and
asked if he could help us out with a free stump grind.Steve did a great job, he rang us 40 minutes before he came on site, arrived, got his machine in over the lawn and garden without making a mess and ground the stump away in 2-3 minutes. Thanks Steve of CC's We then planted some Agave and Flax in the back of the garden bed, 50 petunias through the middle of the bed and a border of silver cineraria and mixed coloured Alysum. Because there was lots of sawdust mixed through the soil and woodchip mulch, I applied lots of slow release fertilizer to the garden to avoid a potential nitrogen deficiency that decomposing timber can cause. Mrs Val put on a lovely afternoon tea with blue berry scones. She also got some advice on what type of water tan she would require to catch roof water for her garden. |

We then went to Evelyn in Heathmont |

She had a garden
bed that was looking a bit sad in the
middle of her lawn. the bed had a lovely celtic Cascade
in the centre and an old wheelbarrow pot. We thoroughly weeded the bed,
cultivated |
