Premium Potting Mix For Pots & PlantersThe
devotion range of potting and planting mixes contain starter fertilisers and trace
elements. There are no controlled release fertilisers contained within them, which means
that they are suitable for planting all types of plants into, including phosphorus
sensitive plants such as grevilleas, proteas and natives. The even greater advantage is
that controlled release fertilisers can be added to your potting mix as required. Pellets
of slow release fertiliser that are contained within most potting mixes have partially or
totally discharged at the time of use. |

| POTTING YOUR PLANTS |
| 1. Before removing your plant from its pot, water
the root ball soaking it thoroughly with water. For maximum benefit before potting, soak your
plants in Devotion Liquid Leaf &Stem Food to reduce transplant shock and give your
newly potted plants a boost. Any left over solution can be used to water your plants in once
potted. For further information please read the instructions contained on the reverse side of
the Devotion Liquid Leaf & Stem Food 600gm container. |
|
| 2. Incorporate Devotion Time Release
Fertiliser to your potting mix at the recommended rate, please refer to the reverse side of
the Devotion Time Release Fertiliser 700gm container. Fill the
bottom of the new pot with Devotion Premium Potting Mix, with the incorporated
fertiliser, and fill to the right level so that when you plant your plant into the pot the
plant will sit on the potting mix and be 2.5cm (1") or so below the top of the pot.
Mixing should be completed in a large dry container. |
|
| 3. Slide the plant out of the pot gently
supporting the root ball with both hands. DON'T TEASE OR
TICKLE THE PLANT ROOTS. Rapid plant death can occur when a plants roots are teased or
tickled particularly during the warm summer months. Teasing plants roots disrupts the plants
ability to draw up adequate moisture and plant death can occur within three days after
potting. Please recycle any unwanted pots at Chris & Marie's Plant Farms. |
|
4. Centre your plant in its new pot and pour
Devotion Premium
Potting Mix incorporated with Devotion Time Release Fertiliser around the plant, holding
the plant to steady it. Gently firm the soil around the plant, water your plant in well. It is
best to water your plant with Devotion Liquid Leaf &
Stem Food thoroughly drench the leaves, stems and root ball. This can be completed in the
morning or late evening when evaporation rates are low. |
